Chapbook Finished!
Well, it's done. The Hours of Us , my poetry chapbook, a mere 25 pages but how much drafting, revision, rewriting, re-thinking it took to get them to where I could gather them up, together, in some kind of flow and order and feel OK about sending them off to a handful of chapbook competitions with deadlines of December 1st last week.
Good to have met the goal. Good to still feel some energy about adding more pieces to fashion a full-length collection by this time next year. Good, also, to feel it's OK if, for a few days, I enjoy the holiday and take a break.
